The Web We Were

"Punctuation marks that look like smiley faces express happiness on a new communication tool known as "Internet." The computer network is already being used by 15 million people worldwide - to chat or do important research. Communication may be anonymous and isolated, but there's always someone to talk to about sports, recipes or politics."

Remember when the mere idea of the Internet had the ability to strike awe in people? Here's a video report that first aired on CBC Prime Time News back on October of 1993. You may laugh now, but I'll bet that most of you had similar reactions when you first heard about this amazing network called "Internet".

Real Amateur ASCII Action!

For the discerning geek perv, I now present to you asciipr0n. This is what Internet porn was like back in the day, before there were graphical browsers. That one guy has the longest --> I have ever seen, and ... Wow! ... Check out that chick's #!

The Final Frontier

You can always count on the lab at Neave.com to provide you with some interesting eye candy. This exhibit allows you to take a spin through outer space. Check out the planetarium for a little computer chair star gazing, find out what the dark side of the moon looks like, or just drift through the parallax stars and boldly go where no man has gone before. Cool stuff.

Critical Updates

I'm sure that the six of you that read this thing are wondering if The .:idzant:. Project has been cancelled. The answer is emphatically no. I apologize for the lack of updates (more than a month and a half since the last post ... sheesh!), but I've been knee-deep in another webdev project (I'll fill you in on the details at a later time) as well as a few work-related projects.

I'm not sure if the other webdev project is winding down or winding up, but either way, it looks like I have a short lull period that I can use to catch things up.

So, consider this post as notice of the resumption of regular operations here at The .:idzant:. Project, and may the geeks be with you...

Oh yeah,.. be on the lookout for yet another site redesign (I know, I just can't leave things alone).
